CUiP

Every year, EIPHC hosts C-U in the Prairibbean (CUiP). CUiP is an evening of music and fun, with multiple local bands performing throughout the night and plenty of food and beverage vendors (yes, we mean beer!). There is also a silent auction where people can bid on baskets with a wide variety of items. It's held every year in downtown Champaign and has grown over the years, with the most recent years having over 800 attendees!  CUiP is an annual fundraiser that benefits Developmental Services Center, a non-profit organization that provides opportunities for individuals with disabilities to live the most independent life possible, while becoming a part of their community.

Our first live event in two years was a scaled down version - held Tuesday, August 10 (530 - 900 pm) at Riggs Beer Company. Mike, Dyke, and Howie of the Boat Drunks performed. There were 80 guests who attended, including 32 EIPHC members. Thanks to everyone who came out, we raised $5,059.70 for the Developmental Services Center of Champaign.

In addition to the cover charge, 11 baskets were created to raffle off during the event. These were donated by Bob & Karen Kalal, Randy Kalal, Steve & Carol Kamradt, Wendy Kelly & Julie Skinner, Dale Morrissey & Riggs Beer Company, Brian & Denise Reid, Rich & Nancy Suchomski, Patty Walters, and Titos Handmade Vodka.

Thanks also to our generous sponsors who donated to our event:

  • Heartland Bank
